Where to start…

The last couple of weeks have been better than most. I supported Pete Doherty at the Liquid Rooms in Edinburgh. Which ended in a flat out brawl, a jacket being stolen and long drive home in torrential rain but I wouldn’t have it any other way. Plus is was Stuart from Brown Bear and the Bandits jacket that got stolen so…

I have been asked to play the Alabama 3 aftershow party on November the 18th by MOJO (Miscarriages of Justice Organization)  which will be another great night and maybe Stuarts jacket will turn up there? Stranger things have happened.

I was a judge at The Secret Wars Quater Final. For those who dont know the Secret Wars is a competition which involves black paint/pens, a white wall and 90 minutes of drawing. No Sketching! 2 judges, a crowd vote and take place all over the world! If you havent already seen it then get it seen.

I’ve played countless gigs recently some of the footage has been sent to me from people who where there but a friend of mine Kirsty Cassels managed to catch this at the Vagabond Social Club.

Finally the 3rd Tragic O’Hara LP is currently underway and many blogs, videos, pictures and other exclusive material will be finding its way to all those who want it. I have a few names and working titles which are floating around right now and as always I dont wanna give away too much too soon.

After appearing on stage with SNMA Alternative/Indie Recording of the Year winners Suspire at The Arches and downloading a copy of their new single “Salvation Sister” from Itunes I bumped into an old friend of mine.

Vince Van Der Hate was on his way back from a late night watch making seminar and we decided to go for an all week breakfast at a cafe called The Kitchen Sessions. We chatted for a while about the whether or not the weather was worth chatting about and spoke about the good old days when we both were volunteer organ collectors and how we had never heard if our colleague Frankie Angst has survived being crushed under a Hammond B3. As it turns out Frankie Angst was working as Western union point a salt shaker in that very cafe and had given grinding organs after the accident but had become a part-time percussionist.

Threats of violence were exchanged and we went our separate ways…

As many of you already know I am and avid fan of Hip -Hop and all things of that nature so a couple of weeks ago I fulfilled a childhood dream by being asked to judge a £100 freestyle battle at Loosely Speakin featuring Respek BA, Freestyle Master, Mr Mackenzie and more…

I also made an appearance at Obscure Couture model casting. Not being the most aesthetically pleasing ape decedent in the world I wont be surprised if I dont make it in their new collection…

and finally Vince Van Der Hate, Frankie Angst and myself put on our best Sunday clothes and filmed some songs at both The Kitchen Sessions and DebRA Unplugged. We broke strings, ate nachos, broke central locking and swore for most of the day but still managed to play our sets with a little help from our friend Little Fire (thanks for the guitar…)

As some of you already know there has been a bit of upheaval between Colin Hunter and myself and I just want to clear a few things up. In the beginning there was a video made which looks a little something like this….

How we all laughed and smiled. How we drank and danced. How we posted it on youtube and certain people who were nameless at this point took great offence and emailed me (twice I might add) calling me sinister things and how I took slight offence at these offensive things and made this…

and so the “Tragic O’Hara is Innocent” facebook page was created and we all had a laugh at the expense of this anonymous person. Many asked me for the email address so the could throw abuse at the individual first hand. The Innocent Rally/Traffic Cone Birthday party was organised and many attended to witness this…

There were many blank faces at the end of the gig as the wind rang in their ears from the angry sprint Colin Hunter made that night. Why did he do this? Why is he angry? Why has he shown no remorse? Why did he make this???

Now the truth is out there in the ether! There is no amount of Vanish stain Remover with Oxyaction that can wash the dirty laundry that has been hung out on the washing line that is the Internet. It is with a smile and with an air of grace that I say to Colin Hunter you know the time and you know the place and you know that I wont stop at nothing to win. When the dust has settled and the smoke has cleared and I stand victorious you can crawl back under the rock from which you came. The dance off to end all dance offs is on and you my “friend” will be F’d in the A….

The last couple of days have been hectic. I’ve seen two of every animal run across the road in front my car.  Destroyed and re-built my “recording” set up. Seen a grown man defecate himself. Broke a tent, blew up an air bed riddled with slow punctures and ate some deep fried welly boots and been played on the A and R zone on Radio One……..

As you may have already guessed I was at The Wickerman festival this year and I would like to thank everyone who came up to me and showed there support and asked me what tent I was playing in too which my reply was none but probably in my three man pop up bat cave in the site. I will try my best to get on the bill for those people next year…

The “Tragic O’Hara Is Innocent Rally/Traffic Cone Birthday Party” is this Wednesday and rather exhausted Mark McG  from The Girobabies and I done a load of flyer dropping at the festival. I hope you have your signs ready its shaping up to be a great night!

Also huge thanks to those who texted in last night to Radio One. It caused quite a stir apparently…

On a lighter note the whereabouts of Vince Van Der Hate has been leaked on a social networking site. He has been in touch through a mix of carrier pigeon and smoke signals and has asked to meet in a secret location to have a chat (by chat I mean I talk while he looks vague and mysterious) about some of the things that he has seen on his travels and share beverages……

Over the last couple of weeks I have been electronically attacked by someone who doesn’t have a sense of humour and I swear this did start life off as an aplology but to be honest I got carried away.

I thought the best way to address this was through another public announcement and I would like to thank everyone who has posted comments and spread the word about everything that has been happening.

We had no way of making tea out in the wilderness so it’s actually Iron Bru. If you watch really closely at the start after it pours it starts to fizz up.

And just when you think its safe to go back out onto the streets…

I recieved a rather threatening email last night from an obviously inebriated and disgruntled fan. The reason Credit union I am using the word fan is becuase his latest complaint is that I have outed him on a social networking site. So this person has been on facebook and watched with bated breath as I “chastised” him. If anyone can see a comment where I used this persons name and adress then please show my the error of my way.

This has went from slight irritation like a tickle at the back of my throat to a full blown case of resenment that has festered in this idiots mind for a week. Rather than building a bridge and getting over it, admitting he was wrong like a man and moving on he has decided to drag this out even further.

And so this has become a vendetta. I’m not giving this person the satisfaction of a personal reply but instead ask you to think of all the things that have pissed you off over your years in God’s waiting room and take it out on this imbecile. Please feel free to go to youtube and let the vile venom flow and repost to any social networking site you want…

As some of you might already know I received and email yesterday from someone who is unhappy with appearing in the video for “Jump On.”

It stated that I have tried to “humiliate” them and that if I don’t take the video which they have already flagged as inappropriate then they shall pursue legal action.

I personally don’t see what all the fuss is about but I have asked you kind people to leave some comments on the youtube video to not only deter this person but also to try and help them realise that this was not a “malicious” act and I would like to thank all those that already have.

Please feel free to repost this and maybe we can prove to this person that it was intended to make people laugh and not the opposite.
